Good evening from Djibouti,  I am attaching photos of the trees that we placed in our lobby of the Headquarters building, only location a camera could go.  There were numerous cards sent to the troops so they decided to decorate the trees with the cards so all could stop and read. We just got this heart-felt, wonderful thank you from one of our 2-87 Units:
Honorary Members of the (unit name redacted) Family,
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the care packages that we received today! The amount of effort and people that it takes to get these to us is inspiring and endearing, we are more appreciative of your efforts than a simple email can convey. I hope to send you some pictures in the near future after we distribute the goodies to our Soldiers. Something as simple as a fig bar or a Hershey’s bar goes a long way for our Soldiers here, bringing them a small change of pace and reminder of home. Thank you again and please let me know if you need anything from my team or me here!    Very Respectfully,  Maxwell

From an Air Ambulance unit we support in the Middle East.  They sent these cool pictures with a note that included the following:

“There is one site in (location redacted) that is extremely austere. I actually forwarded two of your packages there and they were extremely grateful for them. We all appreciate your very high quality care packages, you definitely win the care package of the year award!”  Dave

“AaSP – this is our guys out here right after we did a 9/11 memorial wod.  that flag we held has been folded in the back of my plate carrier since I joined the army. It felt like a good occasion to bring it out for a picture. Again thank you for everything not just cause I’m getting goodies but I can see the morale on my men’s faces when they open the boxes. it means a lot especially since this is a first deployment for a lot of these guys. (this picture can be posted).”  Jared

“Mrs. Casey and all parties involved, Thank you for the Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon packages! The Soldiers of Apache Company 2-87IN 10th Mountain Division loved the snacks, letters, cigars, Knick knacks etc. that we received today at our mission support site. Receiving packages such as these really does break up the monotony and gives the Soldiers a taste of home that they do not receive here often. Your support makes a difference.  Very Respectfully,  Forrest”
