I would like to thank you for your support of our unit, (unit name redacted). The numerous boxes of holiday cookies, candy, and decorations have brought a little taste of home to our offices and workplaces. The holidays are especially trying for deployed personnel as they cope with the stresses of the environment as well separation from family and friends. Your gifts touch the hearts, and stomachs, of so many Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Coast Guardsmen, and military Civilians it is impossible to say thank you enough. As both a deployed service member and the father of a deployed service member, I want to personally thank you for what you have done for my family. My son was overwhelmed by the great outpouring from Adopt A Soldier Platoon. I am equally amazed at your generosity. Please accept my sincere gratitude for what you do for our service members world-wide. The American politician, Frank A. Clark said, “Real generosity is doing something nice for someone who will never find out.” With regard to your organization, I would say real generosity is doing something nice for someone you will never know. Thank you for your caring spirit and the generosity you show to so many whom you will never know.
