Our Wounded Veterans
deserve support !

For over 14 years, a key part of our wheelhouse has been taking care of Wounded/Recovering Veterans who have service-connected VA disabilities. We provide grants that help them heal and make their lives more “comfortable.”

Our VP, Wounded Care, is Mary-Edna Krutchkoff, R.N.

Outdoor Respite adventures are an integral part of Wounded Care.

Many Adoptees love to fish and hunt and have told us they are the most comfortable when they are with Nature. Last year, we held two fly-fishing trips and one bear hunt.

 FAQs

  • It can be as simple as a small grant to help a struggling Wounded/Recovering Veteran pay a utilities bill or a mortgage; or it can be helping him or her to buy a vehicle modified for his/her condition (you must be qualified to be able to receive a grant); or taking Veterans fishing or hunting to be out in nature. We want them all to be more comfortable.

  • You must have a service-connected VA disability and fill out the required forms to be considered.

  • Generally speaking, Wounded/Recovering Veterans can only receive a grant once under most circumstances.

  • Our Treasurer, Allan Virginia, is in charge of our Outdoor Respite events, which include fishing and hunting.
