Team Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon Inc. and associates, Thank you so much for the work you do raising morale for our men and women in uniform. We here on the USS GEORGE H. W. BUSH (CVN 77) recently received a mountain of care packages from your team and I wanted to write and let you know where a few of those packages ended up. I am the V-2 Division Officer onboard CVN 77 and our division of over 200 Sailors is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) onboard this mighty aircraft carrier. My Sailors work long hours in a very dynamic and dangerous work environment, but they have a lot of pride in what they do and they inspire me every single day. Care packages like the ones you work so hard to compile and send out really do put a smile on our faces and we thank you for your support! I’ve attached a picture of our CVN 77 V-2 family for you. We hope all is well back at home and we look forward to getting back after our current deployment is complete.
