Good Evening, I wanted to reach out and thank you for the incredible package we received. I am the Division Officer for Electrical division on the USS NIMITZ CVN-68. We just got a package from the ‘Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon’ nonprofit! I have been on board for 7 months, and on deployment since the beginning of June. My division has 89 sailors between the ages of 21-30 years old. Every day we stand watch to provide electrical power, propulsion to the ships engines, and steam to catapult aircraft off the ship. In the extreme heat we are experiencing while in the middle east, any happy moment is cherished. The day the package arrived it felt like Christmas for the division! The girl scout cookies, coffee, and sweets were delicious. The photo attached is of our strike group sailing with the Japanese and Indian navy’s for a foreign relations mission last month. We are the aircraft carrier in the bottom left! Thank you again for your generosity!
