On November 14, 2018, AaSP packed over 350 boxes for our Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen. The Unilever Veterans Business Resource Group, Menasha Corporation, some MPs from the Teaneck, NJ, Armory, and Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon supporters made boxes and worked the assembly line. Volunteers staged goodies on tables, put letters and flyers into the boxes, worked the taping, put American flag stickers on each box and maintained the recycling bins with cardboard. Each box was weighed and the proper postage, custom form and label was applied. It worked like a well-oiled machine. The first loads went out to Special Forces and our warships, which typically take a long time to receive mail. By Tuesday, November 20, all the scheduled boxes were in the postal system and on the move. On Wednesday, extra boxes were made for some large units in very dangerous Areas of Operation. It was a great success. Watch a short 1:48sec video:

Special thanks to our Benefactors who made the assembly line possible: Inserra Supermarkets who donated KCups, tuna packs, trail mix, gum, KIND bars and candy canes; Mondelez Bakery donated OREOs; Just Born donated Peeps snowmen and gingerbread men; Zenobia and MySpiceSage.com donated pumpkin seeds; Coffee Associates donated fresh roasted ground coffee; and Nature’s Best donated fig bars. In many instances, trucking was furnished by Best Way Trucking Service of Fairfield, NJ, so we could receive all the donations. Boxes donated by Menasha Corporation.
