I wanted to take a minute to thank Adopt-a-Soldier Platoon for your generous donations of your time and supplies to our team. We have reached out to the groups listed on your note to thank them as well, but if you see them, please let them know how much we appreciate their support. We are a veterinary team station in (redacted). Our job is to look after the military working dogs in the area as well as inspect food at all the dining facilities and restaurants on base to ensure that our troops receive safe, high quality food. It is great to hear from folks back home and know that we have your support. The hardest thing about deployments is being away from family, but knowing that people support the job that we are asked to do and are willing to go above and beyond with that support makes it all worthwhile. I have included a picture of our team from in front of the main flag posts on camp. We are holding the veterinary “green cross” flag. Veterinary units aren’t given the same protected status as other medical units so we are identified by a green cross instead of a red one. Thank you again for your very generous support.
